Obituary of Anna-Clare Best (Evans)
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our wonderful mother, Anna-Clare Best (Evans) (beloved wife of the late Ernest Best) at Bobby’s Hospice on March 22, 2022, surrounded lovingly by her four daughters.
Survived by her brother, Leon Evans; daughters, Brenda-Lee Cormier, Wendy White (Frank), Susan Fitzpatrick (Raymond), Nancy Holland (David); grandchildren, Mark Cormier (Jill), David Cormier (Melanie), Ashley Green (Tyler), Jordan Fitzpatrick (Meaghan); great-grandchildren, Kayden, Ryler, Emmy, Casey and Eli; nieces, nephews, and aunts; as well as her special friends, Sandra Gordon, Kathy O’Brien, Diane Hewitt, Lynn Heppell and Linda Campbell.
Predeceased by her husband, Ernest; beloved son, Michael; son-in-law, Michael Cormier; grandson, Matthew White; sister-in-law, Nancy Evans and special aunt, Lorna Boyd.
Mom was a very kind, generous and loving person who quietly gave to those in need. Strong in her faith, Mom was a lifelong member of Portland United Church and served on numerous committees. She was a member of the Saint John Lions Club, Simonds Lioness, UCT and volunteered for Festival by the Sea.
Mom loved to travel with Dad and her girls, especially on family cruises. Mom dedicated her life to her family and was a true inspiration to all who knew her. She will be sadly missed, remaining in our hearts forever.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Chris O’Brien and the wonderful staff at Bobby’s Hospice for the wonderful care provided to our mother and family.
Special thanks to Dr. Elizabeth Keyes and Dr. Iva Smrz for all the years of their wonderful care.
