We got to know Don through ‘Stone ‘ church having wonderful memories of seeing his love for Jesus in action with Joanie and all whom he came in contact with. Don was a gentle, humble man whose smile could light up a room.
Several memories stand out. One year he was Santa at Lancaster Mall ( we had no idea ) as we walked through the mall with our little grandson Santa Don called out to us by name from his chair, we were surprised ( who could that be calling? ) but our grandson was amazed that Santa knew us personally! Don was always bringing a smile to others. Secondly we saw his gift for gardening first hand as he planted flowers for our friend at her cottage, he loved the outdoors and nature. Don shined for the Lord and his faith touched all who met him.
