Obituary of Rod Langis
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rod Langis, loving husband of Barbara (Eagles), on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born April 29, 1943, in Moncton, he was a son of the late Antoine “Anthony” and Perina (Boudreau) Langis.
Rod spent many years working as a CN Police Officer and then an insurance agent. Most recently he kept busy and enjoyed working as a commissionaire.
In his younger days, he refereed hockey and played softball.
He enjoyed spending his free time travelling, often with long drives broken up with stops for delicious meals. He also enjoyed watching TV with his eyes closed, cuddled up with his cat, Tazz.
In addition to his beloved Barb, Rod is survived by his children: Brett (Chelsea), Nick (Jodi), Lisa Eagles (Jamie), Shelley (Claude), and Darren (Heather); grandchildren: Mason, Avery, Emily, Isabella, Ben, CJ, and Amy; and several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), where visiting was held on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 2 to 4 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11 am from St. Paul's Anglican Church, 486 Kennebecasis River Road, Hampton, NB.
For those who wish, remembrances to A Living Memorial or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
