Obituary of Pam Innes
We announce the passing of Pamela “Pam” Lynne Innes on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Shannex - Tucker Hall in her 76th year. Born in Rothesay, NB she was the daughter of the late James & Marjorie (nee Pierce) Gilliland and beloved wife of the late James Innes of 43 years.
Pam was an “Old Nurse”. She began her long career in nursing which started at the General Hospital Nursing School & ended proudly as a Staff Health Nurse at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Pam lived a very full life travelling anywhere that she wanted to go. She loved spending time with her husband, family & pets at the family cottage on the Belleisle Bay. She had an amazing skill at creating new traditions & she passed along her love of travelling & her love of shopping to her daughters (to the dismay of their husbands).
Pam is survived by her children Cathy (Bill) & Tara (Dan). Proud “Grammy” of Nina, Connor, Grace, Liam, Alexandria & London. Sister of Sherry (Tom) Lamont. She will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, friends & everyone who knew her as “Grammy Pam”.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all of the staff in the Shannex Community for their care and compassion.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at 10 AM at The Cathedral of The Immaculate Conception (91 Waterloo St, Saint John). Interment to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations may be made in Pam’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences can be placed at www.BrenansFH.com.
