Obituary of Frank Myles Nice
Husband, Dad, Grampy, (Bampie), Frank Myles Nice was called home far too soon on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the age of 57.
Frank will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 36 years Laura Lee (nee Corcoran) Nice, who also doubled as his devoted caregiver over the past few years. Beloved father to Meagan (Mike) Cunningham and Bradley. His grandchildren Maddox, Maclean and Manning, were his shining lights who could always bring a smile to his face. As well as his grandpuppies Bennie and Eddie who loved the attention he gave them.
Born and raised in Saint John, NB, he was the eldest son of Carol (Silliphant) and the late William "Billy" Nice. He is survived by his brothers Dwayne (Linda), Rick (Jennifer) and Chris (Angie). His in-laws Tony, Rick, and Troy Corcoran and Lynn (Troy) Gallagher. Cherished uncle to his nieces and nephews Jenna, Julie, Kyle, Katelyn, Noel, Wyatt, Shelley, Natasha, Dylan and Cody and great nieces and nephews.
His aunts and uncles Verna Hooper, Joan Meating, Fred (Shirley) Nice, Frank (Sharron) Nice, David (Diane) Silliphant, Sharon (Gary) McDonald along with great aunts and uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Frank (Tunna) and Phyllis (London) Silliphant and Ralph and Beatrice (Elliott) Nice, his parents-in-law Dale and Mae (Clements) Corcoran and as well as numerous family members.
Frank graduated from Saint John Vocational School in 1982. From school, he followed the "Nice" tradition and went to work full time as a longshoreman alongside his father, grandfather, uncles to be joined later by his brothers. He was a member of ILA Local 273 and 1039. He was a dedicated member of LOL #29 Orange Lodge for a number of years.
Frankie (as known to closest friends and family) loved hunting, fishing, classic cars, the Toronto Maple Leafs and the phrase "boys oh boys". He was always up for a fishing derby, weekend hunting with lifelong friend Rick (Bliss) Fulton, a legion breakfast or coffee at Tim's with Leonard Mersereau or a trip to the drag races and car shows with best friend Scotty Lisson.
The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses and medical staff that looked after Frank over the past few years. A special thank you to Extra Mural especially Melissa Gillett and Twyla Marshall for their care these past 3 years. Frank thought so much of you and was grateful for the excellent care you both gave him.
