Obituary of Charles Craven
In appreciation of a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Charles Craven on May 29th, 2022, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on August 1st, 1927, in Red Head, NB he was the son of James and Pansy (nee Bridges).
Charles was a private individual who focused his time and energy on spending quality time with his loved ones. He was also a dedicated employee working for the Irving Pulp and Paper Mill for 26 years. In his spare time, and retirement, Charles could be found watching baseball and hockey games; his favourite team was the Toronto Maple Leafs. His passion for sports was shared with his three sons, leading him to coach local teams and sometimes his son’s own teams. An avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed taking his son John hunting and his son James fishing for many years. A great father and friend, Charles will be remembered fondly by all.
Survived by his wife Constance (nee Dow) of over 60 years; and three sons James, Andrew, and John (Letitia). Charles is predeceased by his parents, and sisters Ruth and Marjorie.
