Obituary of Shawn Marie Feltus
It is with deep sorrow but with deep love that we announce the untimely passing of Shawn Marie Feltus, beloved partner to Ashley Eastwood, on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born February 2, 1979, in Saint John, she was a daughter of John Feltus and Jo-ann McAuley.
Shawn was an incredible mother to her and Ashley’s three-year-old daughter, MacKenzie, with whom she had the most amazing bond. She enjoyed her work at Cloud5, and all the exciting trips she was able to go on. She was looking forward to taking MacKenzie to Disney, and would have loved to visit Jamaica with Ashley. Shawn and Ashley loved to go for walks and watch their TV shows together, and spend time with her parents, siblings, nieces and nephews was always treasured.
In addition to her parents, partner Ashley, and most cherished daughter MacKenzie Eastwood, Shawn is survived by her sister, Sarah Edwards (Jeremy); brother, Jonathan Feltus; and step-daughters, Rita Eastwood and Sadie Eastwood; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Shawn was predeceased by her maternal grandparents: Muriel (McGrath) and Joseph McAuley, and paternal grandparents: Alice (MacKenzie) and Frederick Feltus.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), where visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 11 am from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Msgr. Brian Sheehan, JV, officiating.
For those who wish, remembrances to Bobby’s Hospice would be appreciated by the family. Please place online condolences and remembrances at www.BrenansFH.com.
