Obituary of Maurice Sterling McBride
McBride, Maurice Sterling –
It is with broken hearts that the family of Maurice Sterling McBride announce his unexpected passing on June 3, 2022, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on December 22, 1951, he was the son of the late Elsie (Holtom) and Maurice McBride.
Maurice was a proud graduate of Simonds High School class of ’69 and later attended the University of New Brunswick Saint John. For 28 years Maurice worked for JDI in the MIT division. He loved animals (especially his cats), the outdoors, bowling with his friends and was an avid fan of Star Trek! He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Maurice will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Dianne; son, Anthony of Pocologan; daughter, Joanne Lesley Johnson (the late Don) of Saint John; brother-in-law, Harold Bubar (Daphne) of Pennfield; nephews, Scott and Stephen Bubar and niece, Sarah Fyke
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 1:00 PM from Forest Hills Baptist Church, 36 Mountain Road, Saint John. Interment will take place immediately following the service in Old Cedar Hill Cemetery, Lancaster Avenue, Saint John. For those who wish, donations in Maurice’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or a charity of the donor’s choice. www.BrenansFH.com
