Obituary of Cheryl Anita Joy Greer
It is with heavy hearts the family of Cheryl Anita Joy Greer announces her passing, which occurred on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Mill Cove Nursing Home. Born in Saint John, NB, on March 15, 1952, she was a daughter of M. Frances Middleton (Wooldridge-Vincent) and her Dad – the late Arnold Middleton. She was also predeceased by her father, J. Winston Greer. Cheryl had a wonderful spirit and was a joy to be around. She loved to laugh and pull hair and had a special fondness for the music of Rod Stewart. She will be missed by her siblings: Rev. Dale Greer (Charlotte), James Terrence Greer, Susan Doucette (Ernie), Jane Gabriel (Terrell), Beverley Simpson (Cedric), Elizabeth Perry (Dan), Patricia Bent, Barbara Thorne (Eugene), Pamela Robichaud (Stephen), Karen Brooks (Richard), Sandra Cruickshank, Chris Greer and Tony Greer (Kim); 29 nieces and nephews; 50 great nieces and great nephews; as well as her friends at Mill Cove Nursing Home. In addition to her Dad, Arnold Middleton and father, J. Winston Greer, Cheryl was predeceased by her infant brother Ronald Middleton, and a niece Jamie Pamela Robichaud. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A celebration of Cheryl’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 2:00 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to Mill Cove Nursing Home Foundation or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
