Obituary of Doreen Constance Elizabeth McLaughlin

The death of Doreen Constance Elizabeth McLaughlin, wife of Ronald J. McLaughlin of Saint John, NB, occurred on Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Cecil H. and Eva M. (Warwick) Arthurs. Doreen had been employed with Irving Oil Ltd for over 38 years and was a member of the Irving Oil Alumni having served a term as President. She was a member of the Loyalist Temple # 13 Pythian Sisters, the Philip A Jerguson Chapter # 18 Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile Nereides # 78, an active member of Curves and the Sand Point Outing Association. Besides her husband, Doreen is survived by two sons, Dr. Shawn (Jill) Jennings of Rothesay, NB and Duane (Terry) Jennings of Saint John; three grandchildren, Colin, Beth and Tara Jennings and several cousins. Following cremation visitation will be held at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 from 3-8 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at 1 pm. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice. Order of the Eastern Star Chapter # 18 will hold a service at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 6:45 pm.
