Obituary of A. Allen Abbott

With gratefulness for a life well lived, the family of Allen Abbott announces his death on May 29, 2016. Born on May 25, 1929, Allen was the son of the late Mary (Mills) and Arthur Abbott of Chance Harbour, NB. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Gerry (nee Tooke); six children, Patrick (Darin), Joseph (Donna), Catherine Patterson (Paul), Thomas, Marlene and Jeffery (Kathy); 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Donald Tooke; sister-in-law, Genevieve Abbott, several nieces, nephews and many family friends. Allen, predeceased by his parents and brother, Owen, is the last member of his immediate family. Following Allen’s wishes, there will be no visitation and a celebration of his life will be scheduled in August.
