Obituary of Frances Jean Jennings
It is with great sadness the family of Frances J. (McEwen) Jennings, wife of the late William Albert Jennings, announce her passing, which occurred on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on May 1, 1929, she was a daughter of the late George and Prudence (Church) McEwen. Frances is survived by her sons Roy (Helen) of Willow Grove, NB; Albert (Pamela), of Baxter’s Corner, NB; and Ronald "Blanchard", of Hamilton, Ont.; daughters June (David) Arsenault, of Chateauguay, QC; Prudence (Robert) Steeves, of Gardner Creek, NB; and Laura (Christopher) Turner, of West Black Rock, NS; sister in law Evelyn McEwen, of Lower Kars, NB; grandchildren Yvette, Jeffery, Shawn, Amanda, Preston, Carol, Albert Jr., Crystal and Melissa; and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband William Jennings, parents George and Prudence McEwen, son Vincent George Jennings and great granddaughter Kelsey. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Thursday, June 2 and Friday June 3, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Church of the Good Shepherd Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances in memory of Frances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
