Obituary of William Harry Ferris
The death of William Ferris of Saint John, husband of the late Louise "Minnie" (Dorbyson) Ferris occurred on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on May 20, 1939 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Harry and Mary (Kennedy) Ferris. Prior to his retirement, Bill was employed at the Telegraph Journal as a pressman. He was a true family man and treasured the times spent with those he loved. Bill was affectionately known as the "family chauffeur". He was always doing for others and his devoted work ethic was apparent in all that he did. Bill will be sadly missed. Bill is survived by his children, William (Sandra), Wayne (Joan), Christine (Albert), Matthew (Denise) and Debbie (George); grandchildren, Ashley, Teah, Shyanne, Chelsey, Bill, Greg, Tiffany, Jennifer, Rachael, Ryan, Mya, Amanda, Brent, Candace and Crystal; great-grandchildren, Layla, Izaiah, Lyla, Zaylen, Nicole, Brandon, Jordon, Jasmine, Austin, Kane, Xavier, Ayden, Cooper, Alexis, Parker, Charlie, Alyssa and Rex; as well as nephew, Larry Roy. In addition to his wife and parents, Bill was also predeceased by his daughter, Kelly Maxwell and sister, Florence Roy Davis. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 7-9 PM and Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Blood Services.
