Obituary of Maria Alida Catharina Ring
The death of Maria Alida Catharina Ring, of the Loch Lomond Villa, wife of the late James L. Ring, occurred on Saturday, March 29, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Leiden, Holland, she was the daughter of the late Johannas and Maria (Keereweer) Borreman. Mrs. Ring was a proud member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Branch #58, Royal Canadian Legion. She is survived by three sons, James L. of Windsor, ON, Edward (Elizabeth) of Mississauga, ON and Ronald (Karen) of Saint John, two daughters, Maria Gallowitsch (Charles) of Toronto, ON and Janet Diaz (Carlos) of Coles Island, NB, one sister, Audrey Anne Holland of Perth, Australia, 6 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 3 step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Wilhiem Borreman and one sister, Willameana Bootkanbp. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at 2:15 PM. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in the spring. Remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be appreciated by the family. The Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a tribute service on Monday at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. www.brenansfh.com
