Obituary of George Wilfred Winchester
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, George on Monday, September 26, 2016. George is survived by his children, Jackie (Peggy), Carl, Wayne (Pat), Ruthie Lavoie (Laurence), Kevin, Paul, Bruce, William (Nicola), Elaine and Michael; sisters, Mae Waite of PEI, Georgie MacArthur of PEI and Edna McInnis of ON; brother, Austin of Saint John; as well several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Emma Ruth Hachey; children, Paul, Paulette, Gary and Gayle; brothers, Preston, Robert and Lee; as well as sisters, Freda Cahill and Maude Winchester. The love he had for his family was unconditional and everyone who knew George will remember his smile and his willingness to help anyone in need. He was a loyal Boston Bruins and Toronto Blue Jays fan and always enjoyed watching a good ball game. Grampy loved all his grandchildren and always looked forward to visiting his family on PEI, where he especially enjoyed playing 45’s. George also enjoyed listening to music. The family would like to thank the loving and caring nursing staff of 5C South and the Rockwood Court Shannex staff.
