Obituary of Ilse J. F. Robbert
Mrs. Ilse J. F. Robbert, daughter of Heinrich and Anna Maria Klinge, died peacefully at her residence at the Carleton Kirk Lodge, on April 13th, 2003. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis Peter Robbert, as well as her sister, Mrs. Lili Holler, and her brothers, Werner and Erich. She was born in Germany, trained as a Dental Assistant and Nurse, served as a Red Cross Nurse during the Second World War, at the eastern front. In 1954, she emigrated to Canada (Oakville, ON), married and moved to Saint John, where she worked at the Provincial Laboratories until her retirement. She is survived by her niece, Ilse Holler, wife of Dr. John C. Pond, Rothesay, NB, and nephew, Pastor Manfred Holler and wife Gabriele, Bielefeld, Germany, grandnephews, Carsten (Sabine), Bielefeld, Germany, and Eckhard (Renate), Luebeck, Germany, and grandniece, Almuth, Bielefeld, Germany. At her request, there will be no visitations. A memorial service will be held at Hope Lutheran Church, Second Street, Saint John, NB, on Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. Donations may be directed to the Red Cross, SPCA, Cherry Brook Zoo, or the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506) 634-7424.
