Obituary of James Douglas MacDonald
The death of James Douglas McDonald, of Brunswick Drive, Saint John, husband of Faye (Bradley) McDonald, occurred on Sunday, April 13, 2003 at his residence. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Calvin and Nora (Landry) McDonald. He was well known in the Sporting Community playing on the Saint John Dodgers and St. Peter's baseball teams and was an outstanding basketball player. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Calvin (Marcia), Michael (Christie) and Thumper (Wendi), all of Saint John, four daughters, Carla McDonald (Lee) of Sarnia, ON, Nora McDonald Wills of Saint John, Gina Hicks of Saint John and Lynn Bunn of British Columbia, one brother, Murray 'Moe' of Ontario, one sister, Duddie Magee of Saint John, 11 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Rose McKenzie. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be celebrated at St. Peters Church, Clarendon St., on Thursday, April 17, 2003 at 11:00 AM. Remembrances to the Extra Mural Hospital Program would be appreciated.
