Obituary of R. Glendon Tays
The death of R. Glendon “Glen” Tays, husband of Florence (Goosney) Tays, of Barnesville, NB, occurred on Thursday, February 10, 2005 at his residence. Born in Barnesville, a son of the late Denzil and Annie (MacDonald) Tays, he had been employed at the Irving Oil Refinery as an Insulator in Fire and Safety. Glen was a member of Astronomy Associations and enjoyed reading, astronomy, animals and especially horses and his shadow, Max. Survived by his wife, Florence; a brother, Douglas (Sharon) Tays of Stratford, ON; sister-in-law, Evelyn (Butch) MacNaughton and Brittany of Hanwell, NB; brother-in-law, Ron (Maryanne) Goosney in Ontario; mother-in-law, Daisy Goosney of Fredericton, NB; an aunt, Grace Tays in Ontario; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents and an infant sister, Lorraine. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 1 pm. Following cremation interment will take place at a later date. Remembrances may be made to the Literacy Coalition of New Brunswick or a charity of the donor's choice.
