Obituary of Theresa McAuley
February 21, 1931-March 19, 2017 Theresa Winnifred McAuley of Saint John, NB passed suddenly at her home in Rothesay, NB at the age of 86 years on Sunday, March 19, 2017. Theresa was predeceased by her husband, George Daniel McAuley; parents, John and Margaret (Burchill) Graham; brother, John Jr.; and sister, Ann Golding. She is survived by her brothers: James (Georgie) Graham of North Bay, ON, and Ronald (Doreen) Graham of Saint John; and by her sisters: Marie Hannah and Elaine (Tom) Gibbon, all of Saint John; three daughters: Sharon McAuley of Victoria, BC, Cathy (Bryan) Korven of Comox, BC, and Lynn (Colin) Francis of Saskatoon. SK; eight grandchildren: Dr. Matthew Young, Dr. Rebecca Korven, Shanna Francis, Erin Young, Sara Korven, Chris Francis, Joshua Korven and Joshua Robinson; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Following graduation from Mount Carmel in 1948, Theresa worked for the Bank of Nova Scotia where she met her husband, George. She then spent many years bringing up her three daughters. Her husband George became sick in his later years and Theresa lovingly nursed him in his last days. As of late, Theresa enjoyed landscape sketching, and was always accompanied by her loving dog, Kye. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 , Visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 3 - 7 pm at Brenan's Funeral Home. A Mass to celebrate the life of Theresa McAuley will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption, 360 Dufferin Row on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 10 am. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Huntington Society of Canada, or the M.S. Society of Canada.www.brenansfh.com
