Obituary of Theresa Lorraine Northorp
It is with great sadness that the family of Theresa Lorraine (Lanigan) Northorp, wife of the late Murray Northorp, announces her passing, which occurred on Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on October 26, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Annie (Hodgin) Lanigan. Theresa was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved caring for her family, and spending quality time with them. She will be missed by her children: Natalie Northorp, Christine Northorp (Bill Porter) and Margaret Raymond; grandchildren: Kelly Raymond and Gregory Raymond; her siblings: Ann O’Keefe and Christopher Lanigan (Shirley), as well as several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents and husband, Theresa was predeceased by her son-in-law Michael Raymond; brothers: Francis, Joseph, Robert, Edmond and Lee; sisters: Eileen, Marion, Elsie and Margaret, along with several brothers-in law and sisters-in-law. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Visitation will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home on Thursday, May11, 2017 from 2-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Pius X Parish, 316 Somerset Street, Saint John, NB, on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 11 am with interment to follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada or any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
