Obituary of Joseph Camille Bourgeois
Joseph Camille "Mickey" Bourgeois, loving husband of 34 years to Berthinia L. "Betty" (Ward) Bourgeois, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, December 19, 2017. Born in Moncton on August 12, 1943, he was a son of the late Daniel and Helen (Niles) Bourgeois. Mickey served in the Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment of Canada) overseas in Germany, Cyprus and in Canada. He drove bus for Saint John Transit for many years, and later for Royal Taxi. In addition to his wife, Betty, Mickey is survived by his children, Joseph C. "Cammy" Bourgeois, Marie Fisher and Nicole McLaughlin – all of Hamilton, ON; five grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a sister, Bernadette Hachey of Richibucto; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and his twin brother Joseph Emile "Rick". Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A private graveside service will be held. Remembrances may be made to SJRH Dialysis Unit or SPCA-Animal Rescue.
