Obituary of Thomas William Gormley
Gormley, Thomas William "Billy" – It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Thomas William "Billy" Gormley on Monday, January 29, 2018 at his residence. Born in Saint John on August 17, 1947, he was the son of the late John and Louise (Eagles) Gormley. Billy worked as a labourer with the construction industry most of his life and was proud to be a member of the Local Union. Billy loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Being at his camp with his friends and family was one of his greatest pleasures. Billy’s greatest joy, however, was his family and spending time with his great nieces and great nephews. He will be missed by his family and many friends. Billy will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Robin Dallaire; sisters, Marguerite Bernatchez (the late Claude) and Linda Furlong (Lee); sisters-in-law, Nancy and Cathy; and brother-in-law, Gordon: as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Billy was predeceased by his sisters, Evelyn and Donna and his brothers, John, Louis and Henry "Hank". Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John. Although there will be no visiting, a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Peter’s Church, 50 Clarendon Street, on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 12:00 PM. Interment to take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Please place online condolences at www.BrenansFH.com
