Obituary of Dora Irene Neilson
Dora Irene Neilson of Oromocto, NB, wife of the late John A. Neilson, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends, at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Monday, May 2nd, 2005. Born on November 17th, 1927 in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late William James and Katie (Carlin) Earle. Dora was a member of the Women's Army Corps. (WAC), a past member of the ACW and a past president of the Women's Institute in Pt. La. Nim. She will be remembered as a hard working and dedicated fund raiser, along with being an avid card player, participating in the Senior Weekend Card Parties. She is survived by her children, Mary (Michael) Farrell of Kitchener, ON, Stuart (Francine) of Guelph, ON, Kathy (Dan) Mazerolle of Dartmouth, NS and Susan (Rob) Shields; two grandchildren, Erin and Kelly Mazerolle of Dartmouth, NS and one niece and one nephew. She was predeceased by her brother, Bill Earle and sister, Dorothy McKay. Dora was the last surviving member of her immediate family. There will be private visitation and services held for Dora. Rev. Keith Howlett officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John's Anglican Church Cemetery, Oromocto, NB. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Red Cross, would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home.
