Obituary of Willie Alfred Perry
The death of Willie A. Perry, husband of the late Myrtle (Steeves) Perry, of Saint John, NB, occurred on Thursday, May 26, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Central Blissville, NB, a son of the late Duncan and Louise (Banks) Perry, Bill had served in the Armed Services during World War II and was a Port Worker in Saint John. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid baseball fan; in earlier years he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Survived by a son, Donald Perry of Vancouver, BC; a daughter, Barbara (Gordon) Carvell of Saint John; a step-daughter, Francine Fillier of Saint John; a brother, Harry (Celia) Perry of Saint John; three grandchildren, Christopher (Chantal) Carvell, Lisa (David) Wilson and Kevin (Barb) Carvell; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two sons, Douglas “Sobey” and Wendell; two sisters, Barbara Keith and Gertrude. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Saturday from 7-9 pm. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 30, 2005 from Brenan's Chapel at 1 pm. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
