Obituary of Florence L. McFate- Farris

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Florence (Florrie) Lillian (Paisley) McFate- Farris, wife of the late Herbert Farris occurred on Friday, July 25, 2003 at the Kennebec Manor Nursing Home. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Christine (Brewer) Paisley. Florrie loved music and was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church where she played the piano and organ for services and dances. She is survived by and was a devoted mother to her three sons Holly McFate , Roland (Elaine) McFate both of Upper Golden Grove and Cyril (Jacqueline) McFate of Ottawa, one step-daughter Della (John) Worden of Newfoundland, one brother Bruce Paisley of Kingston, Ontario, three sisters-in-law Beth Paisley of Browns Flat, Pat Paisley of Kingston, Ontario, Evelyn Paisley of B.C., twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, one step-grandson and one step-great granddaughter. Besides her second husband and parents she was predeceased by her first husband Murray McFate, seven brothers Herbert, Clarence, Ronald, Kenneth, Royden, Eldon and Cecil, one sister Helen and one grandson Andrew McFate. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) with visiting on Saturday, July 26, 2003 from 7-9 PM and Sunday, July 27, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, July 28, 2003 from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held in St. Paul's Church Cemetery, Upper Golden Grove. Remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
