Obituary of Gordon W. T. Love

The death of Gordon William Thomas Love, of Loch Lomond Road, husband of the late Mary “Dolly” (Mills) Love, occurred on Thursday, July 28, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was a son of the late William and Hazel (Fudge) Love. Gordon was employed with CNR as a ticket agent at Union Station and as a clerk at Island Yard on Rothesay Ave. for 37 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge F & AM. Gordon was an avid hunter with his dogs and also enjoyed salmon fishing on the Miramichi. He is survived by one son, Barry Love of Ontario; former daughter-in-law, Jane Perkins-Love of Saint John; one brother, Don Love Sr. of Saint John; one granddaughter, Signa Kristina Love; one niece, Krista Love of Pennsylvania; one nephew, Don Love Jr. of Saint John. By request there will be no visiting. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2005 from Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424) at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
