Obituary of Olive A. Spragg
The death of Ms. Olive A. Spragg formerly of 25 Daniel Avenue, Saint John, occurred on Thursday, August 25, 2005 at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Olive was born in Saint John on June 13, 1920, daughter of the late Frank W. and Almina (Friars) Spragg. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Olive was a lifelong resident of Saint John. She was a member of St. Luke's Anglican Church and later attended the Church of St. John Baptist (Mission Church) St. Clement in Millidgeville. She is survived by one nephew, William (Winnifred) Haines of Saint John; four nieces, Faye (Haines) Black (David), Holly Haines, both of Saint John, Audrey (King) Wiley (Gerald) of Sarasota, FL and Bonnie (Lucas) Abrahams (Ian) of Stouffville, ON and one brother-in-law, Alwyn Lucas of Unionville, ON. Olive was predeceased by three sisters, Alice King (Fred) , Frances Haines (Reynolds) and Muriel L. Lucas. Friends may call at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) on Monday, August 29, 2005 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon, with funeral service at 12:00 Noon, followed by a reception at Brenan's Funeral Home. Private burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery. Remembrances to the Church of St. John Baptist (Mission Church) St. Clement or the charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated.
