Obituary of Gwen Elizabeth Marcus

The death of Gwen Elizabeth Marcus of 55 Crown Hill Crescent, Saint John, wife of the late Hyman L. Marcus, occurred on Friday, August 26, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Born in Rose Bay, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Capt. Ivan and Ina Mae (Wamboldt) Creaser. Gwen was an avid golfer and was a former member of the Westfield Golf and Country Club. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, one great great niece and her special caregiver, Cathy Parsons. She was predeceased by brothers, Capt. Eugene Creaser, Gilbert Creaser, Capt. Douglas Creaser and Capt. Reginald Creaser. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday, August 30, 2005 from 12:00 Noon until 4:00 PM, followed by a funeral service in the Chapel at 4:00 PM. Interment will take place in Lower LaHave, Nova Scotia at a later date. Remembrances to the IWK Children's Hospital, the Children's Wish Foundation or the charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated.
