Obituary of Frances Elizabeth Kiervin
The death of Miss Frances Kiervin of Douglas Avenue, occurred on September 13th, 2005 at her residence. She was born on March 14th, 1920 in Saint John to the late William F. and Mary (O'Brien) Kiervin. Frances worked for many years at Canada Permanent Trust - now TD Canada Trust - until her retirement about 20 years ago. She had a wide circle of friends and she enjoyed entertaining them at her home on Douglas Avenue. Frances was a regular shopper at the City Market, which she dearly loved. Frances spent many summers at Long Reach with her extended family. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Frances is survived by five nephews: Norman (Linda), Jack (Shirley), and Bill (Maria) Kiervin, John (Bernadette) and Bill (Geraldine) Donovan; two nieces: Beth (John) Mlacak and Mary Kiervin and many grand nieces and grand nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Arthur Kiervin and two sisters, Edith Donovan and Marion Kiervin. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday September 16, 2005 from St. Peters Parish at 11 am. Interment will take place after the mass in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers charitable donations may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
