Obituary of Leo Francis Seaman
SEAMAN, LEO F.- The death of Leo Francis Seaman of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB, husband of the late Geraldine A. (Moore) Seaman, occurred on Thursday, September 15, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late William John “Jack” and Georgina (Mott) Seaman. Mr. Seaman was a Veteran of World War II, serving overseas with the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Control Tower Operator and was a life member of the Bayview Branch #22, Royal Canadian Legion. He was employed with the Canadian Armed Forces for 30 years as an Air Traffic Controller, Radar Operator and the Search and Rescue Division until his retirement in 1970. He is survived by three sons, Roy Northrup of Windsor, ON, Jack Seaman of Cole Harbour, NS and Gerald Seaman of Nerepis, NB, three daughters, Pat Banks of Grand Bay-Westfield, Jane Maher of Nerepis, NB and Janet Wells of Grand Bay-Westfield, one sister, Margaret J. Seaman of Saint John, 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one daughter, Margaret Arlene Bennett and three brothers, Bedford, William and Harold. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday 7-9 PM and Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, September 19, 2005 at 1:00 PM. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. No flowers by request, remembrances to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated. The Royal Canadian Legion will hold a tribute to a Veteran service on Sunday evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
