Obituary of Margaret B. Hatfield

The death of Margaret B. Hatfield of Quispamsis, loving wife of Don Hatfield, occurred on Thursday, September 15, 2005 at her residence. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Pearl (Sleeth) Johnstone. Margaret and her husband Don owned and operated Hatfield Home Hardware and she was formerly employed with Sears and Canada Trust. She was very active in her community. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be sadly missed. Besides her husband, Don, she is survived by her daughters, Kerry Betts (Dana), Tammy Hatfield (Chris Cormier) and Kelly Hatfield (Darin Paquette), all of Quispamsis, grandson Lucas Betts whom she adored, two brothers, Billy Johnstone and Harold Johnstone (Joanne) both of Saint John, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Central Baptist Church, Saint John on Monday, September 19, 2005 at 10:00 AM. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances to the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.
