Obituary of Joseph S. Beatteay

The death of Joseph S. Beatteay of Stephenson Tower Drive, Saint John North, occurred unexpectedly on Thursday, September 22, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Joseph was born in Saint John, son of the late George C. and Hazel (MacDonald) Beatteay, and had been a life-long resident of this area. He is survived by four brothers: Jack of Toronto, Peter of Iowa, Robert of Saint John, and Gerald of London, ON; three sisters: Daisy Craft of ON, Dot (Doris) Tanner of Texas, USA., and Catherine Webb of BC; several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers George, Allen, James and William, and sisters Nina McCaustlin, Ann Peters and Eva Crosby. At the request of the family there will be no visiting. A memorial service will be celebrated from Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Lung Association or a charity of the donor's choice.
