Obituary of John Donald McLellan
McLELLAN, John Donald ? The death of John McLellan of Ridgewood Veteran's Wing occurred on Sunday September 25, 2005 at his residence. He was born on January 4, 1912 in New Richmond, PQ to the late Alfred E. and Kathleen (Mulroney) Mclellan. John served in World War II as a Royal Canadian Electrical Mechanical Engineer in Europe. After the war he spent 16 years in the Militia. Upon returning to Saint John, he worked with R.C.E.M.E. repair depot until his retirement. Following his retirement, John served as Chief Bar Stewart at the Sergeant Mess. John is survived by three step-children: Dawn (Joseph) Arthurs of Saint John, NB, Robert (Audrey) Knodell of Quispamsis, NB and David (Betty) Knodell of Bedford NS; their mother Helen Cromwell and several grandchildren. Arrangements are entrusted of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). The Committal Service will be held at Cedar Hill Extension Field of Honour on Thursday October 20th, 2005 at 2 pm Remembrances may be made to Ridgewood Veteran's Wing's Comfort Fund.
