Obituary of Paul Mapplebeck
MAPPLEBECK, C. Paul ? The death of Paul Mapplebeck, husband of Marion (McEwen) Mapplebeck, of Grandview Avenue, occurred September 28th, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Paul was born on May 27th, 1916 in Victoria Harbour, NS to the late Stanley and Ida May (Freeman) Mapplebeck. He was employed at Sears as an appliance technician until his retirement. Paul was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force. Besides his wife, Paul is survived by their two children: Margo Mapplebeck of Rothesay, NB and Ralph (Candy) Mapplebeck of Fredericton, NB; three grandchildren: Marc, Katie and Brandon Mapplebeck of Fredericton, NB; four sisters: Dorothy Corkum of Cambridge, NS, Ruby Smith of Middleton, NS, Rose Kenneally of Long Sault, ON and Gladys Kenneally of Victoria Harbour, NS; three sisters in law and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and three brothers: Ernest, Ira, and Joseph Mapplebeck. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB with visiting on Thursday September 29th, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 30th, 2005 at 11 am. Interment will be held in Ocean View Memorial Gardens following the funeral service. Remembrances may be made to St. John's (Stone) Church Memorial/Renovation Funds or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick.
