Obituary of Joan Amos-Elliot
AMOS-ELLIOT, JOAN - Unexpectedly, at her residence in Saint John, NB on October 5, 2005. Born in Dorchester NB, Joan was the daughter of the late Floyd and Mae Amos (Taylor-Filmore). Her parents, brother Max Amos, sister Doreen Spence and granddaughter Jennifer Eisner predeceased Joan. A loving mother and grandmother, Joan is survived by two daughters, Helen Eisner, Barbara (Robert) Vey and two sons, John (Donna) and Max (Gisele) Elliot all of the Saint John area. Joan will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Jonathan, Elliot and David Eisner; Tabatha (Kilpatrick) and Scott Vey; Sarah, Stephanie and Daniel Elliot and by two brothers, Robert and John Amos along with several nieces and nephews. A former schoolteacher, Joan's primary interest in life was her children and grandchildren. Joan also enjoyed her volunteer work and for many years, was an active member with the Seniors Resource Centre in the Saint John City Market. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, N.B. (506-634-7424) with visitation on Sunday, October 9, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9, with funeral service on Monday, October 10, 2005 at 2:15 pm from the Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to a charity of the donor's choice.
