Obituary of Janet A. Justason
The death of Janet Alberta (Sowers) (Bailey) Justason, of Seeley's Cove, wife of Daniel Justason, occurred on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Born in Fredericton, NB, she was a daughter of the late William and Minnie (Lyons) Sowers. Janet was employed by A & W as a cook for many years. She is survived by two sons: Harold (Mary) Bailey of Saint John and David Bailey of Edmonton, Alberta; six daughters: Janet McLean, Grace (Russ) Weitz both of Florida, Rachel (Darrell) Johnston, Diane (James) Farris, Gail (Terry) Hovey, Rosemary Day all of Saint John; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband, Harold Bailey, daughter, Shirley Oulton, brothers, Lawrence and Percy Sowers, sisters, Muriel, Josephine, Myrtle and Doris. By request there will be no visiting. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2005 from Pennfield Kirk Church at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place in Pennfield Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424).
