Obituary of Doreen M. Wilkins
It is with great sadness on October 13, 2005, surrounded by her loving family, Doreen Margaret (Wilson) Wilkins passed peacefully after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her loving husband Harold Wilkins and her 10 children; Johnny (Beatrice) of Dartmouth, NS, Judy (Jean-Marie) Gourd of Moncton, Dianne (Donnie) Cormier of Prince of Wales, Cathy (John) Parsons of Saint John, Harold (Tina) Wilkins Jr. of Saint John, Bonny (Danny) McNeill of Saint John, Gloria Wilkins of Saint John, Chuck (Susan) Wilkins of Saint John, Brenda Melvin of Saint John, Bobby (Tara) Wilkins of Saint John, and her 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Max and Wallie and sisters Marilyn and Sheila. Her sister Audrey and brother Richard predeceased her. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #69 Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed shuffle board. She cherished the Saturday afternoon coffees at the mall with her daughters. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2005, at 3:00 pm, from Brenans Chapel, followed by cremation. Remembrances made to Hestia House or the Saint John Animal Rescue League would be appreciated.
