Obituary of Heather Lynn Landers
Heather Lynn “The Bird” (Ewart) Landers of Saint John, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a brief but courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her husband, daughter, son-in-law, several sisters, brother Gary, Ranger and close friends. Born in Saint John a daughter of the late Stanley and Anita (Crawford) Ewart, Heather was a loving mother and grandmother who took great joy in her work at the St. John and St. Stephen Church Home and enjoyed her endless shopping trips. Survived by her husband, Ralph; daughter, Shelly (Tom) Hebert of Saint John; granddaughter, Rebecca; mother-in-law, Bernice A. Landers; brothers, Brian (Diane) Ewart of St. Catherines, ON, Bill (Rose) Ewart and Gary (Monica) Ewart, both of Quispamsis, NB; seven sisters, Lorraine Reid of Ottawa, ON, Anita Jean (Mike) MacPhail of Kingston, ON, Sandra (Allan) Millican of Quispamsis, Debbie (Allan) Johnston of Carsonville, NB, Kimmy (Jim) Mason of Quispamsis, Anne (Wayne) Parker of Saint John and Sharon (Gary) Geikie of the Miramichi; her many nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her. Predeceased by her younger daughter, Shannon Colleen Landers in 1995; brothers, Stephen and Donald and sister, Connie. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Tuesday from 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Thursday, November 3, 2005 at 11 am. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
