Obituary of ROBERT W. Wilson
WILSON, ROBERT W. Sr.- The death of Robert Wayne “Uncle Bob” Wilson Sr., husband of the late Margaret (Danahue) Wilson, occurred unexpectedly on Sunday, November 6, 2005 at Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Eileen S. (Staddon) Wilson. Bob was a heavy equipment operator for various companies in Saint John before his retirement. He loved the water and was an avid boater. Bob enjoyed spending his weekends with family on Long Island and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed. He is survived by three sons, Robert Jr., Murray (Kate) and Rodney, all of Alberta, two daughters, Diane Belding of Sussex Corner and Nancy Wilson (John Folkins) of Sussex, one brother, Bim Wilson (Ann) of Saint John, two sisters, Gert Asselstine (Bob) of Kingston, NB and Nancy Oulette of Saint John, 10 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Sonny Wilson and one sister, Susan Asselstine. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday 7-9 PM and Wednesday 2-4 PM only. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, November 10, 2005 at 2:15 PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or the charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated.
