Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth Macdonald
The death of Margaret Elizabeth Macdonald occurred peacefully at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Saturday, November 19, 2005. She was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, daughter of the late Alexander and Mabel (Slade) Macdonald. Margaret left the Prairies at the age of 11 and moved together with her father and sisters to Grand Bay. She worked much of her life with the Canadian Pacific Railway. She was a lifelong member of St. Giles United Church. Predeceased by her parents, her twin sister, Helen, her sister Flora and brother-in-law Howard Silliker. Survived by her sister, Jean Walker (Ron) of Ottawa, ON, nephew Ian Silliker (Darlene) of Calgary, AB, niece Donna Silliker (Terre Hunter), great nephews, Dale (Josée) Silliker, David Silliker and Neil Hunter, great niece, Mariel Hunter, great-great nephew, Simon Lafrenière Silliker and several cousins. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at the Church of St. Andrew & St. David, Germain Street, Saint John on Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at 2:00 PM. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Animal Rescue League, Saint John Food Banks or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
