Obituary of Berton T. Flowers
The death of Berton (Junior) Thomas Flowers of Rothesay, NB, husband of Ann L. (Walton) Flowers, occurred on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was a son of the late Thomas and Eileen (Sullivan) Flowers. Berton was employed at the Saint John Port as a stevedore and crane operator and a member of ILA Local 273. Besides his wife he is survived by his children: Marilyn (John) MacDonald of Rothesay, Thomas (Phyllis) Flowers of Quispamsis, Deborah (Karey) Madill of Rothesay, Donna (Richard) Middleton of Kingston Peninsula, Dale (Tammy) Flowers of Quispamsis, Nancy (Kevin) Knox of Rothesay, and Kevin Flowers of Rothesay; three sisters: Jayne Sinclair of Ottawa; Lucille Wilson of Fredericton; and Josephine Cole of Digby, NS; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by three brothers: Ralph, Guy, and Clayton; four sisters: Gladys Coats, Peggy Norton, Shirley Harnish, and Barbara Burnett. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424) with visiting on Monday and Tuesday, December 5 & 6, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 from Our Lady of Perpetual Help at 12 Noon. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
