Obituary of Thelma Ruth Bradshaw
The death of Miss Thelma Ruth Bradshaw occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on December 9, 2005. Born in Saint John on January 17, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Charles L. and Annie M. (Downey) Bradshaw. She was employed as a secretary with the DVA Hospital before her retirement and was a lifelong member of Douglas Avenue Christian Church. Thelma volunteered at Loch Lomond Villa and during her lifetime, spent many happy summers in St. Martins. She is survived by her brother Glendon D. (Rose) Bradshaw; her sister-in-law, Margaret (Peggy) Bradshaw; four nieces Joan (Jim) Shillington, Cheryl (David) Price, Debby (Rick) Creamer, Judi (Duane) McLellan; four great-nieces and six great-nephews as well as three great-great nieces and one great-great nephew. Her brother Robert V. Bradshaw predeceased her. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 12, 2005, at 2:00 pm, from the Loch Lomond Villa Chapel. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances made to the Loch Lomond Villa Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
