Obituary of Robert Miller Bell
The death of Robert (Bob) Miller Bell of Saint John, husband of A. Florence (MacLaren) Bell, occurred on Thursday, December 22, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was a son of the late T. Moffett and Edith (Miller) Bell. Robert was employed with Franklin Enterprises, Lord Nelson Hotel and the Rocca Group as a chartered accountant. He served in World War II with the RCAF 435 Squadron in India and Burma, was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 69, NB Law Foundation and treasurer of the 26th Battalion Overseas Association. Besides his wife, he is survived by daughter Jane Bell of Saint John; brother Larry (Lynn) Bell of Saint John; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother Tom Bell. By request there will be no visiting or funeral service. Interment will take place in St. Andrews Rural Cemetery at a later date. Remembrances may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada or the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation Inc. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424).
