Obituary of Margaret E. MacKenzie

MacKENZIE, MARGARET E.- The death of Margaret Ellen MacKenzie, a cherished resident of Rocmaura Nursing Home, wife of the late Cecil Sanford MacKenzie, occurred on Monday, December 26, 2005 at Rocmaura Nursing Home at the age of 95. Margaret was born in Goshen, Albert County, NB, daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Mahoney) Huckins. Margaret was employed at Henry J. Birks, retiring in 1965. She loved people, knitting and cats. Her sense of humor and caring ways will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She is survived and dearly loved by her daughter, Mary Jeanne Morrissey of Saint John West. She was predeceased by son-in-law, Donald Edward Morrissey, brother, John and sisters, Annie and Alice. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday from 7-9 pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception on Friday, December 30, 2005 at 12:00 NOON. A private interment will be held at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Children's Wish Foundation would be appreciated.
