Obituary of Ruth Mary Capson

The death of Ruth Mary Capson, wife of the late James Samuel Capson, formerly of Saint John, NB, occurred on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at the Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews, NB. Born in Saint John a daughter of the late James and Mary Ann (Scott) Peacock, Ruth had been employed as a secretary for Maritime Beverages, was a member of Saint John Chapter # 14 Order of the Eastern Star, an Anglican by faith and very active at St. Barnabus Church as Treasurer and on the Altar Guild. Survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Muir of Saint John; grandson, Jason Andrew Muir; great-granddaughter, Sarah Jean Muir and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband and parents; an infant daughter, Helen Irene; brothers, James, Ronald, William and Ernest; and sisters, Kathleen, Margaret and Dorothy. Ruth was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 6 at 1pm from Brenan's Chapel with interment following in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
