Obituary of Frank Michael Sorckoff
The death of Frank Michael Sorckoff occurred on January 4, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late Michael Joseph and Genevieve 'Jennie' Mary (McLaughlin) Sorckoff. He served during WW II with the Canadian Forces, Homeland Services, in Edmonton. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #2, for over 35 years. He was employed CNR as a Crane Operator before his retirement. He is survived by his daughters Brenda Noel and her husband Walter of Quispamsis, Vicky Gilmanou and her husband Valentine of Saint John, Linda Campbell and her husband Lorne of Edmonton, Kerry Brewing of Rowley, NB, their mother Bernice (Melanson) Sorckoff, his sister Patsy Denton-Campbell of Saint John, eleven grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews. His brother Murray and sister Midge Simpson predeceased him. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday from 7-9 pm and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral will be celebrated on Monday, January 9, 2006, at 10:30 am, from Brenan's Chapel. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
