Obituary of Winnifred M. Megarry
The death of Winnifred M. Megarry, wife of William Megarry, occurred on January 7, 2006 at her residence, the Loch Lomond Villa. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late G. Wilmot and Verna (Palmer) Campbell. She was employed with Cash & Carry Dry Cleaners for many years. She was the founding president of the Ladies City and District Dart League and was long-time secretary of the Lady's Glades #1 of the ROAB. Besides her husband she is survived by son Randy Cunningham and his wife Alayne of Edmonton, AB, daughters Janis Cunningham of Montreal, Karen Merritt and her husband Gordon of Saint John, sister Doreen Garvin of Saint John, grandchildren Jennifer (Keith) Hawkins, Ryan(Cynthia)Downs, Amy (Aaron) McAuliffe, Jay Merritt, Stephen Cunningham, Richard Cunningham, Beth Cunningham, great-grandchildren Carter and Rylie Hawkins, Chloe McAuliffe, and several nieces and nephews. Her first husband Kenneth Cunningham, sister Mae Blizzard and her husband Lorne, and brother-in-law Maurice Garvin predeceased her. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Monday from 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2006, at 1:00 pm, from Brenans Chapel. Interment will take place at Ocean View memorial Gardens. Remembrances made to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
