Obituary of Margaret Patricia Kiervin
M. Patricia (Darrah) Kiervin of 12 Valour Court, Saint John, NB, wife of J. Raymond Kiervin, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on January 14, 2006. Born in Saint John on March 17, 1928, the eldest daughter of the late John L. and Florence G. (Stevens) Darrah. Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons: James R.(Sherry) of Quispamsis, NB, Peter J. (Cathy) of Minto, NB, Kevin A. (Janet) of Coles Island, NB; three daughters: Helen Marie (Joe) Walsh of Truro, NS, Patricia Anne Burnett of Rothesay, NB, Maureen (Randy) Frost of St. George, NB; thirteen grandchildren: Shelly Roberts, Scott, Jay and Lindsay Walsh, Kimberly Scott, Mark, Jason, Jennifer, Melissa, Nicholas and Thomas Kiervin, Matthew and Emily Frost; four great-grandchildren, Abigail Clark, Jordan Scott, Hannah and Emma Roberts; several nieces and nephews; brother, Gerald of Saint John; three sisters: Joan Johnston of Saint John, Mary Morris of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB, Catherine (Carney) Jones of Loch Lomond, NB. Predeceased two brothers: John B. and James L. Darrah and two sisters: Eileen Merzetti and Helen Marie Darrah; son-in-law, Robert Burnett. Patricia was a member of the Catholic Women's League and a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visitation on Monday from 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 91 Waterloo St., Saint John on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at 12 noon with interment following in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the James L. Darrah Scholarship Fund or a charity of the donor's choice.
