Obituary of Colleen Marie Nason
The death of Colleen Marie Nason of Wright Street, Saint John, wife of the late Bedford J. “Bud” Nason, occurred unexpectedly on Saturday, January 21, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Fredericton Junction, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alfred J. and Mary E. (Nason) Noble. Colleen was employed for 27 years in the health care industry. She started her career at the Saint John General Hospital in 1963 after completing her R.N.A. program. She spent her first 12 years on the Surgical Floor before joining the Ambulance Department, where she spent 15 more years. Mrs. Nason was a member of the Waterloo Street Baptist Church Seniors Friendly Fellowship Club and enjoyed needlework, quilting, reading and writing poetry. She is survived by three sons, Alexander G., Harold (Tracy) and LeBaron B. all of Saint John, two brothers, Robert J. Noble of Moncton and Harold A. Noble of Saint John, three grandchildren, Mary Angela Nason, Cody Nason and Bradley Robichaud, several nieces and nephews. By request of Colleen there will be no visitation. Memorial service will be held at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) on Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at 1:00 PM. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Canadian Cancer Society or the World Wildlife Fund would be appreciated.
