Obituary of Dorothy Frances Ferguson
The death of Dorothy Frances Ferguson of the Loch Lomond Villa, Saint John, wife of the late J. Arnold Ferguson, occurred on Saturday, January 21, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Sussex, NB, on July 31, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Heber John and Louise MacCready (Campbell) Cripps. Mrs. Ferguson was a former School Teacher and taught Sunday School at Centenary Queen Square Church for many years. She enjoyed playing bridge, curling and traveling with her husband, having celebrated 60 years of marriage before his death. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was very proud of her families accomplishments. She will be sadly missed. She is survived by two sons, Barrie Ferguson (Pat McKracken) of Dartmouth, NS and Wayne Ferguson (Carolyn Purdy) of Picadilly, NB, one daughter, Linda Nielsen (Paul) of Harvey Station, one sister, Alice Murchison of PEI, eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Clarence Cripps. A memorial service will be held at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at 2:15 PM. Interment in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances to the charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated.
